Korean-style chicken goes to SM Lipa

World-renowned Korean quick service restaurant Bonchon had just opened its second Batangas branch at SM City Lipa. Bonchon meaning “my hometown” in Korean originated in South Korea in 2002. Famous for its addictive chicken sauces that manage to maintain the crisp of the chicken’s outer layer, Bonchon began to make waves in the global arena in 2006.  Currently headquartered at New York, Bonchon has 140 branches in about 10 countries.

Bon Chon SM Lipa branch is located at the second floor of the main building of SM Lipa beside the Foodcourt. 

Thousands reached at SM Foundation’s medical mission

A total of 2309 BatangueƱos benefited from the two separate medical missions held last January 30 at Brgy. Nangkaan in the town of Mataas na Kahoy, and on February 15 at SM Batangas.

The medical mission at Mataas na Kahoy were able to tap project partners like the Philippine Air Force, Mataas na Kahoy Municipal Health Office, Rotary Club of Mataas na Kahoy, Lipa Medical Society, Philippine Association of Family Physicians- Batangas Chapter and Lipa Dental Society.  Headed by its Brgy. Captain Moises L. Lubi, a total of 799 Brgy. Nangkaan residents were able to benefit from the mission.

Meanwhile a total of 1,510 beneficiaries convene at the Events Center of SM Batangas last February 15. Partnered with Batangas Medical Society, Provincial Health Office, Batangas City Health Office, Philippine Red Cross-Batangas Chapter, DOH-RIV Office and Batangas City Social Welfare and Development Office, SM Foundation were able to give medicines, free medical check-up, X-rays, dental services, ECG and urinalysis.
Dubbed as Gamot Para sa Kapwa, the medical mission is one of the thrust of SM Foundation in reaching out to the communities where SM has its malls.

The medical mission at Mataas na Kahoy was able to accommodate 115 dental patients, among of whom is this kid scout.
